What is Sephora Age Defy Cream?

Some mornings I wake up looking like I was punched in the eye.  Literally.  My eyes are swollen, puffy, have dark circles, you name it.  I always seem to have the puffy under eye “baggage”.  It’s like night of the living dead over here.  I’m surprised I don’t scare my one year old when I get him out of bed every morning.

Anyway, I’m realizing that I am in need of an eye cream that can do it all.  I need something to treat the fine lines, dark circles, puffiness and basically make me look human again every morning.

I’ve always been a big Sephora fan so this product really interested me.  Sephora Age Defy Eye Cream claims to keep our eyes hydrated and reduce the appearance of fine lines, puffiness and dark circles.  Let’s see what it’s really made of and hope it can live up to it’s promises.  For my son’s sake, at least.

Sephora Age Defy Eye Cream Active Ingredients:

1. HydroSenn+ is a polysaccharide derived from an Indian plant.   It creates a protective barrier over the skin’s surface that has the ability to attract and retain water to achieve optimal hydration that lasts all day.
2. Timecode (Lipoamino Acid) provides an anti-wrinkle and firming action and reduces the effects of past skin damage.
3. Light-Reflecting Pigments diminishes minor skin flaws by immediately illuminating and brightening your complexion.
4. Oat Extract creates an elastic film on the skin surface that creates an instant tightening effect and preps skin for makeup.

What Should I Know About Sephora Age Defy Eye Cream?

This eye cream claims to be safe for sensitive eyes and skin and can be used morning and night.  It is formulated without parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances, phthalates, GMO’s, and triclosan.  It is a lightweight, non-greasy cream that can be worn under makeup.

“This cream goes on easily and definitely moisturizes well, but I have not noticed much of an improvement in my dark circles at all. It does smooth out the appearance of any unsightly crinkles underneath my eyes though, and it leaves a nice, smooth canvas for under-eye concealer. It’s fairly priced and is lightweight yet moisturizing, so I will continue to use.”

Sephora Age Defy Eye Cream Final Thoughts

Is this the dream cream?  Nope.  If you are looking for a cream that will really reduce the appearance of deep wrinkles and dark circles, I don’t think this is the cream for you.  I think this is a good basic eye cream that will keep your eyes hydrated and help plump out fine lines.  I like the fact that it is fragrance free and has no customer reviews complaining of burning or stinging their eyes.  (Because so many eye creams do.)  This product only costs $24.  Guess I’ll have to keep looking.
